Vast bourgeois apartment in a building from 1835. Seven rooms, 200 m², and four metres ceiling height. The decor of the apartment is in a bohemian-chic style: we prefer a sanitized but comfortable atmosphere! Many of the items in the apartment have been found around the world, and there are many books. Views of the street (facing south) and of a very pleasant back garden (facing north).
Information
Located right in the city centre, in a very quiet street. A hundred metres from Jardins de la Fontaine, the first landscaped park in France (created in the eighteenth century; cool in the summer, and nice for jogging or reading the Midi Libre, the local newspaper).
Two hundred metres from Maison Carrée, the best preserved ancient temple in the whole of Europe, and five hundred metres from Arènes, a splendid monument which hosts the férias (local festivals) at Whitsuntide and in September, as well as international concerts during the summer (Radiohead, David Bowie, Roberto Alagna, etc).
There are many summer festivals in the area (the Avignon Festival, the Aix-en-Provence Opera Festival, the Photography Festival in Arles, etc).
And for those who want peace and quiet, the countryside is just three minutes' drive away, or fifteen minutes away if you prefer jogging.
